Happy Birthday, Erin!!

We had an early birthday celebration for Erin. She turns 23 on the 29th of this month. Here she is with her good friend Arlette, who helped me plan the surprise for Erin.

We got her her favorite cake from the Bon-bonerie. Yum! It is hard to get pics of my mom, so I was happy that I got this one.

Here was our little group. I think Erin was pretty happy with everything.

Happy First Birthday, Elizabeth!!!!

Elizabeth turned 1 on the 11th of July. Hard to believe that a year has already gone by.

She loved opening her presents.

You should have seen her rock the baby. Its amazing the instincts that are harbored in such a little girl. Love you, Lizzie Bit!!!

A visit to Parky's farm....

We took the kids to Parky's farm in Winton Woods the other day. The kids had a lot of fun.

Parky's farm has a huge barn, that is full of really fun things for the kids to play on. By the time we helped the kids on these tires, Seth was about ready to die. He kept saying to hurry because it hurts, and if you look at the poor kid, he is acutally crying in the pictures. I hate to admit it, but I thought he was just being dramatic--that is until I got on it and had to whole heartedly agree with Seth about the pain factor. It HURT!!! And he had KK on his lap. I felt so bad. But he loved it that I bragged about how tough he was. :-)

I got Kaelah and Ally matching cowboy hats from gymboree, so this was the perfect place to wear them, Aren't they sooo cute?

Ally barely made it out of the driveway before she passed out, and KK wasn't too far behind her. I love it when they play so hard they can't stay awake! :-)

Vacation....

I was able to go to Tablerock Lake near Branson, MO on vacation with Kyle and his family this year. We had a lot of fun. This is Kyle and I with his niece Alexis. She is nine and absolutely adorable.

Kyle and Skyler are die-hard Kansas City Royals fan since they grew up near Kansas City. If you know anything about the Royals' track record, you know that being a fan is a feat in and of itself. Anyway, we went to a Royals game while we there. They were giving out these hats, and it had been raining all day, hence I actually wore the hat. I figured it couldn't look worse than my hair looked! ;-) The Royals lost in the tenth inning, but we had fun anyway.

Kyle's mom and dad have a boat, so we were able to ski and tube while we were there. We did a lot of swimming. The water was crystal clear. Absolutely beautiful. This is Alexis, Kyle's mom, and I enjoying a swim.

All in all, we had a great time. Branson is a quaint little town. Very family oriented. We took in a lumberjack show, and saw a titanic exhibit, and lots of other things. It was all very interesting and fun. This is the first vacation I have had in a long time, so it was nice to actually go somewhere and just enjoy myself.
